Following on from anthéne's most recent solo 'frailty' for Home Normal, we are thrilled to be releasing his latest collaboration with the cellist and sound sculptor Simon McCorry. This marks their fourth collaboration so far with previous work being released on some close labels to us in whitelabrecs, Hidden Vibes, and Oscarson.

'wellspring' is a deeply beautiful album that perfectly encapsulates the early stems of spring. With Simon's drawn-out cello melodies at its core, and Brad's signature guitar tones fluctuating and weaving throughout, it is the sound of calm motion in musical form. Much like the hypnotic cover of flowing water by April Suen, the album moves gently along its way, always captivating in its fluctuations and changes much like the inspiration behind the music itself.

As we welcome another spring at home in the normality of the day to day, a companion piece to the season's change and the flow of life as despite the stones, pebbles, and dangers ahead, highlights that life finds a way to flow on and on and on again. There is indeed an inner light that never dies.
