Requiem has always been a project that desires bigger meaning around the music. To achieve placing meaning behind sound frequencies we've used visual art to accompany our mostly instrumental music. In March of the year 2020, the USA and a large portion of the world had shut down economically and socially. While we were creating music in the studio - the meaning was something we were searching for. In a desire to load our gear to perform we decided to take advantage of an empty Washington D.C and give our performances outside the various monuments in the city. In doing so it became difficult to find monuments we felt were worth giving attention too as most are old white war heroes. We settled on Martin Luther King Jr, Ghandi and Einstein and outside the Supreme Court when Ruth Bader Ginsberg passed. The performances were filmed and recorded - this is a documentation of a strange point in history. Thank you.
