Lyrics
A man born of oaken land,
a warrior of the weald,
warden of the downs,
built on blood and steel,
stood upon the hills,
views for miles around,
valleys deep and green,
worthy of the blood that spills
Wealden warrior!
I heed a call to arms,
by word from county Earl
all men must gather now,
to join in his campaign,
from the chest to the south wall,
my armour lays in wait,
lay my sword upon the table,
an entity of bladed fate
Thoughts of days marching onward,
With brothers in arms,
Share stories of battle,
In the long nights ahead,
The fire burns bright,
Shadows dance on the tent,
At dawns early light,
we move once again.
Adorned in cloth and chain,
Sword strapped to my side,
Step out into the light,
Do not fall behind.
A man bred by spear and pasture,
Stood firm amidst his brothers ranks.
Deafening sound of steel on steel,
The rush of fighting for your life.
Drawn blade in the sunlight,
A Gleam in the blaze.
A shine from afar,
Moving with haste.
Marching from distance,
They have come here to raid.
Meet them with spear tip,
and deaths cold embrace.
