Mood Swings by Chris Harris
This album collects together a bunch of instrumental tracks recorded during summer 2024 while I was experiencing what I later realised was a manic episode. It lasted for several weeks and was inevitably followed by a crash into depression.
To be honest, I think you would probably have been able to figure that out even if I hadn't just told you. The album's called "Mood Swings" with good reason.
All music was recorded in my home studio with Ableton Live 12 Suite and a vast collection of gear including Warr guitar, Chapman Stick, Roland Juno-106 and JX-3P, Korg M3, Opsix, and Wavestate Mk2, Squier Strat, Parker Fly, Ibanez RG770, and G&L S-500 guitars, Mooer Ocean Machine, Eventide H90, Chase Bliss MOOD mk 2 and a Zoom G6 multi effects unit.

I'm still trying to get the music I record to sound like the version I can hear in my head. To do this I've ended up playing every instrument I can get my hands on. These days, I'm closer to "That Sound" than I used to be, but the journey continues.
