A few of the original compositions of our debut album Epiphany previously have been getting special treatment from 11 remixers of The Netherlands like Diephuis, Nelson & Djosa, Dub Creator, Monte La Rue, Kid Sublime, Greg van Bueren and more. Most of our fans know by now our music is always approached in a diverse manner, we've made sure of that by lining up a divese roster of dj/producers and their remixes.
From the start we've flirted with dance music and have even done live sets together with dj's and/or electronics for many years. Funk, soulful house, deep house, jazz, modal jazz, free jazz and even bluesy colors have been on the palette. The flute is an amazing instrument, especially when it comes to blending in perfectly in improvised sets with dj's with deep and soul drenched music knowledge.
Some press quotes for this album:
“Remixes like Purity and A Samurai’s Way, and the new piece When The Funk Hits The Flute, would effortlessly fit in on a Café Del Mar-album”
