I'm walking through a desert of endless nothingness.
I'm becoming lucid in the grey.
But I'm alone, there are no walls to climb, no bars to bend.
I can't remember what led me astray.

Nothing can color the grey.
Night and day feel the same.
I surrender my mind as prey.
Since nothing can color the grey.

By now, I've stopped being anxiously pondering.
My mind is blank, body destroyed, will is broken.
There is no reason to move on, since the cold will get me anyway
So I rest and take one last sip, one last thought of security and bliss.
I give up, I let go, I give in and let the emptiness win.

Oh, I'm suddenly aware of the errantry, which desaturates perception.
Oh I'm, I'm still alive grasping for my for my clarity.

A sudden will to live arises in me.
Giving up is just betraying the alive.
I need to help myself, there has to be a way.
Either I'll escape or I'll be taken by the grey.
