This stunning collection of tracks offers a raw and distinctive insight into the unique brand he refers to as 'sexadellic bass music’. Unquestionably, with the next upcoming release on Grand Alliance Music there seems to be a ‘home run feeling’ that has been brewing for some time from deep within, just itching to get out. This is that itch. Chris Shimanoff also known as Cryptopchronica, invites listeners on a radical sonic journey, dissecting a new shift of crispy and climactic soundscapes, crafted for everyone from the most adventurous listener down to even the most casual passerby, and with this forthcoming release, Deconstruct, Shimanoff is poised to push the boundaries of his already cerebral sounds. It’s clear with one listen through, that Cryptochronica’s transcendent skills are ascending and ready to shine with these four piquant tracks pulsing with talent.

Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Shimanoff was initially influenced by the islands’ reggae and dub scene(s). Certain drops share glimmers of these tropically infused-inspirations still, weaving lush textural elements with exotic rhythms. In fact, a rasta-fusion tradition even helped inspire his name; both the words 'Crip' and 'Chronic' are Hawaiian pidgin (slang) for cannabis. When blockchain and cryptocurrencies exploded into the public consciousness, it was only a short leap to conceive Cryptochronica: the digital drug. Deconstruct EP delves into the idea of breaking down individual musical elements until the essence of the whole is almost lost. "I wanted to experiment with really radical minimalism in certain sections of the song," Cryptochronica shared. "Most of my music is typically packed with an array of elements, creating a maximalist sound”, Shimanoff added, “This time, I aimed to strip some sections back to their bare bones, deconstructing the individual elements and playing them in novel ways”.

Cryptochronica's music is rooted in the psychedelic, unearthing the foundation of thick and creative breakdowns that expose rich components and explore explosive drops. pumping beats, and even if it was within the same song, it had to be super diverse." He admits, “It’s really just meant to take you on sort of a journey, you know?”.

soundscapes for his audience to enjoy and re-enjoy over and over again.
