Timeless by George Wallace
Welcome tp the Music of Timeless!
As this project was coming together, I enjoyed playing around with a few compositional devices more than I had in past albums, those being 1) the practice of sustaining long notes over two or more harmonic changes while retaining consonance, and 2) more use of actual counterpoint (juxtaposition of a melody with a counter-melody) in some of the compositions.
Adding to this are stylistic, ‘signature’ elements already familiar to those who’ve enjoyed my particular brand of Contemporary Instrumental music (I shy away from the term “Ambient”) over the years, those being the importance of layering and rhythm, presenting the soundstage as a series of “conversations” among the instruments, and my ongoing dedication to dynamic range and compositional form.
I am now very pleased to present Timeless – seven artfully crafted tone-poems featuring dreamy atmospheres, sensual, neo-tribal percussions, and dazzling electronica. I sincerely hope you enjoy immersing yourself in these wondrous worlds of wild, dream-soaked sound - sometimes mighty, sometimes delicate - but always intense.
So kick back, turn down the lights, turn up the sound…
And go as deep as you can go.

George currently lives in beautiful Lancaster, PA, with lots of farm country nearby. Downstairs is the studio ('where the magic happens') he is blessed to call his own.
