FRO-ZEN by Abebe Schmidt
There is a story to this sound. Almost as old as the snow. The story of a tired wanderer lost in a snowy mountain landscape. The story of a man who almost lost his life while making his way through the endless, frosty whiteness.
Barely alive, he was found by the mountain man, who took care of him and brought him back to life.
When the traveler was strong enough, the guard gave him a magical potion, that had been consumed by his people since the beginning of time.
After that nothing was like before for the survivor. He couldn't stay with the people wno saved him, because he wasn't of their blood and they didn't accept it.
He also couldn't go back to his people, because he saw their life in all it's hypocrisy and purposelessness. what remained, was only to continue his journey. So he walked,and walked,and walked. Until ice started to feel like fire, and there was no light, no darkness, no love, no hate... Everything was inbetween, everything was FRO-ZEN.
Recorded in sub-zero temperatures in the Polish wilderness in February 2023 by Mormon and Amish. Contemplating coldness and moonshine.
