"'Ellen's Song' is a beautiful piano and cello duet composed and performed by Gary Schmidt and featuring cellist Hannah Alkire (from Acoustic Eidelon). Gary originally wrote the piece for his wedding processional in June 2022, and added the introduction and ending later. The piece begins and ends with an "Americana" kind of feeling, but the main part of the piece is graceful while expressing both joy and tenderness. The cello brings a smooth, elegant counterpoint to Gary's piano. It's a beautiful piece that could easily become a wedding standard - a very sweet and heartfelt gift of love!"
