Originally penned as early as 2007 when Jason was part of the trio ‘The Teasers’, it took on several versions before coming to rest in its current form both lyrically and melodically in 2014.
The song is a lament to Amy Winehouse and a plea to stop behaving in such a self-destructive way.
With its catchy chorus and upbeat tempo, the drums doff their proverbial cap to her cover of The Zutons.

Funky Nature looked across the musical landscape of the early 2020s and wondered “where did all the bands go?”
It would appear since the great cull of 2009 - when the revenue switch went from recordings to live performance - that major labels decided signing bands wasn’t a good idea anymore. Thus leaving the progenitors of new music to be almost all solo artists.
