Hoopla! This is Suss as your bogus temporary disc jockey. How the hell are you? Yes, it’s been 15 years since we’ve released any new music. OK shut up! We hear you. We have a whole album that needs some eyebrows, and Vines is the title track. I wrote this 20 years ago after our Europe tour while sitting on my hotel balcony in the German town of Baden Baden. I was watching construction cranes build new apartments, in stark contrast to the background of miles and miles of beautiful vineyards that have been there for centuries.
So what’s next? Are you gonna sit on your ass again for 15 years? Negatory. Besides the “new” album, we have 100s of hours of live recordings, studio jams, videos, and unfinished compositions. Now that I am retiring in June, with time to breathe after unplugging from 32 years of public school teaching, I’m on a mission to get through it all and get it out you. This will include getting the band back together for a European tour in 2026. More to come, we love and appreciate all of you!
