2020 Singles by Frederic Anthony
Had to do a dump on these songs and turn it into an album or something . Maybe I should have released it all at once? I dunno but it feels good getting these all together. Is this what it feels like to walk out of one door into another? All those coulda shoulda wouldas and am I doing this right ? I even googled cheesy album sales pitching quotes with my shirt tucked in…”Get the whole collection with such classic love tunes like “Time to Break it” what a classic…comes with two bonus tracks never heard before! Only available on Bandcamp cause lol where else can ya go? With lyrics credits and all that which took me literally 2 weeks to do! ALL HAND MADE FORGED FROM THE VIKING KOBOLD”
On a real note : these songs came straight out of the weirdest year of humanity. I sent Sam some demos at the infancy of the studio making these and out came Pablo X bringing really wild leads like I summoned George Harrison and jerry Garcia’s zombie child. Paul came on after Time to Break/ Crazy. I showed him demos after a funeral and he laid some Allstar shit on the the rest of the songs. Dylan coming in on flute and Cody doing his thing on sax during the birth of Simulators Sean Rainey on the violin • it was great having you guys as the year continued to defecate on everyone’s lackluster dreams . Listening to them again brings back some shit. Playing these live is a blast too. Sam has been such a gem to work with.. so I highly recommend going to him. Especially Tom from Bonehead. They are monumental at their craft. Working with people who are just as passionate is a powerhouse. Big ups to all the video artists bringing songs to life too.
The cover was a colab thought process with Tom in the kitchen and Jeff (videographer for Smooth Sailing) in outer space. Pictures were taken by my favorite photographer of all time Jess Smalley in an old haunted river I lived at.
2020 left and in February I sat down at JP Dempsey’s by myself during the super bowl and met Kyle birthing peasant and vibe city. No idea who won that game but I def made out with some special folks in my life new and old. Oh … like I said before, the album comes with two bonus tracks too if you download it . was that a good enough of a pitch? No? Fuck it
