Arcade from EP1 by Frazer Merrick
The lead melody was recorded at Walton Pier with my Lom Audio Electrosluch Mini City EMF Mic. I was amazed to find an LED strip sequenced in seven time! It did however require a lot of cleaning with RX Izotope to remove ground hum, significant EQ to make it less piercing and lots of pitch automation to give the final melody.
I use field recordings, circuit bending and synthesis to create sonic experiences which explore the act of play. Using lo-fi tech I transform spaces or objects, encouraging the audience to become a curious performer and embrace play through interactivity, improvisation and collaboration.
