What a simple life this is
easy arithmetic
plus and minus
people go and people come
that quick
and not to down play every single minute that has changed -
I miss those every day.
The friendships, the family, the fallen famous, the follies, forever

You can't wash off scars
and stains can last forever
even if you don't see them
they can still be there

Hiding under
what's visible to the eye
they're sunken beneath the flesh
living in between assumptions 'bout life and death
though a human cannot comprehend its existence

As long as I'm still breathing I'll be thankful for what I've learned
and I hope they know that I never wanted friendships to end
and I hope they know that I'll respect them 'til the very end
'til the fucking maggots make mazes inside of my head
