Pirate Mountainside by Flynn Cohen
All-original instrumental acoustic music composed, arranged, performed, and recorded by Flynn Cohen on lockdown, Spring 2020.
Many of the tunes were initially composed as part of a production music project for film/television. Different genres explored and fused include Appalachian & Irish traditional music, bluegrass, Thembu Xhosa musical bow melodies, eastern European dance rhythms, all layered with plucked string textures and punctuated with triple-tracked fiddles.
