The story begins in Hostlandia, homeland of the protagonist. Despite living there for years, the protagonist feels like they do not belong. The protagonist dreams of BLUE LAGOONS, from the distant lands their parents described in childhood. Eventually the protagonist makes the decision to go. They buy the tickets, go through SECURITY, and BARK at the border patrol officer when confronted. They wait at the GATE and think of the people they are leaving behind. Midway through the FLIGHT, the pilot announces to brace for turbulence due to a STORM. The immigrants on board begin to pray, but it does not stop the disaster… The protagonist wakes up on a beach, hearing the sounds of the jungle and waves. Despite the crash, a CALM feeling runs over them. They write a poem about a person who sat next to them on the plane. Helicopters pick the protagonist up. What happened next is unknown, but those who lived had to learn to SURVYVE. Years pass, and the protagonist writes a second part to the poem. They can finally SLEEP in peace after many restless nights. They write about the light in the window being on. Will it go out?
