Sharks from Fingers Crossed by Flavored Cardboard

My friends are the sharks
I really like them for the people they are
But they made a request
And thought as a friend I try to do my best

I fear my parents will judge me
I know they'll say that I'm just throwing away my life
But they don't know how important this is to me
I don't know how I could live with myself
If I didn't follow through

I want to feed myself to the sharks
I want to be there for them
I need to be their human sacrifice
I want to be a good friend
How could I say no?
How could I protest?
What is there for me to do
But let them lay me to rest?

When I was younger
All I did was stare down at the water
They thought there was something wrong with me
But the sharks saw something no one else could see

And now the time has come
For me to repay the sharks for what they've done
They've been such great friends to me
And now I must return to the open sea
From which I first emerged

I want to feed myself to the sharks
I want to be there for them
I need to be their human sacrifice

How could I say no?

What is there for me to do

I went down to the dock
It was high tide when I jumped off
But the end of my life was only the start
Now I'm forever swimming with the sharks
