again
hypothermic fears are ahead
ever the butcher prying, their home protection failed again
spying judging executioner, no use crying
scraping hooves, crooked horns infiltrating, now don’t fight back
ravening yuletide, screaming again

this year is different
a hallowed request
a child is wishing for death
creating a soul undying, a ceremony best left unsaid
hell’s choir sings life into this frozen beast
discordant notes spark the ritual
so don’t look back, making up lost time
freezing again
