Since the start of the pandemic, we have learned a bunch of things. As a society, but also as individuals. And we've failed to learn a bunch of things too, important things that we should've learned. So this album is a time to ponder those lessons that we learned, and those that we failed to learn, about ourselves, about our community, about our priorities as a culture, about our priorities as individuals, about those people we have lost, some of them lost to death, and some of them lost to fearful right-wing anti-science propaganda. What have you learned?
Facetoucher is a project from the virulently productive ADMNSHN, the sole vector behind projects like The Horn, Grist, Undead Magic User, Coordinates, and HAZAAM, and the epicentre of projects like Ili Pika, Gnaumgn, The Ripening, The Choir Of The Spoken Word, and A°🄳+S/P°₂₃. Facetoucher is improvised with 86% live-manipulated voice sounds and 14% triggered virtual percussion, using Audiomulch, on the traditional lands of the Yowenjerre, what is now called rural Gippsland.
