Did I remember way too much, the ever lasting tears, the poets gentle touch
Force my heart to let it go, the broken beast who allowed himelf to love too much
But I no longer cringe at the fear of losing you, in the shade it bcame darker still
Perhaps I will pray to the darkness, after all it was always love under will....
Listen to the truth you deny yourself, just one moment, don't walk away just yet

And when I am fading from the pages like the poem ignited within the flame
You cant turn back the clock on this turmoil or the hurt, just remember my name
Was I deep enough in my ranting adoration, just try to tell me if you think you can
Pretending the words of hope would make me smile, punishment was your only plan
But I wanted to believe in your sweetness & light, all deserving, that is what I get

Let it go they say, lock away the screams of loves broken heart & learn
Just another wasted sunset alone, the poets soul left to burn
