Buffalomckee aka Nobunaga Sarutobi hails from Osaka, Japan, with a noise album that has a kind of 60s flair. Why? Rather than using distortion to create a wall of harsh noise, here it is often the massive reverb/delay/tape echo put on various loops that creates the overwhelming sonic presence of the music, which bears some reminiscence to classic electroacoustic music.

Of all releases in the Rollator series, curated by ORiFiCE, this album is probably the most rhythmic to date. Furthermore, some harmonic aspects are occasionally discernible in the music. Both these facts make it safe to place this album on the thin line dividing noise music from rock music. In fact, the hybrid term “noise rock”, which is often used in a rather misleading way, seems perfect to describe the music on this album.

Ra Sonologyst:
new noise release from Attenuation Circuit label. In this case we have a work by Buffalomckee ( Nobunaga Sarutobi); and like Sascha Stadlmeier very well describes in the release notes, it looks like a vintage noise production cause the massive use of delay/tape/reverb. That's a reason I like a lot this album and I recommend it to you.
