The inspiration for this project arose when it became clear how much people are leaning into music right now for comfort and reassurance. With that in mind, ten Kildare artists who have produced many soothing sounds in the past have joined forces to record their own versions of songs that bring them comfort in hard times. We hope that the money raised for the Samaritans - whose work is more essential than ever at this time - as well as the songs themselves, can in some small way help people through these very tough times.

Every six seconds, Samaritans Ireland answer a call for help. They are there day or night for anyone who’s struggling to cope and just needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. During the current crisis their services are under huge added strain, with a 28% increase in calls relating to loneliness and isolation. Despite the fact that many of their 2,300 volunteers around Ireland are cocooning or self-isolating, Samaritans Ireland are managing to keep the phone lines manned. Your donation will help them to continue to be there for people in their time of need.
