WAKO GUMBO is the debut release from Los Angeles artist Elle Belle. Spanning many genres it reflects on life in L.A. stuck in the malaise of growing older and feeling more disconnected from your peers, culture, and yourself. It’s a record about fighting off the anxiety of this alienation through nihilism, drinking, and partying and then dealing with the inevitable metaphysical hangover that comes after. Raw, lonely, and visceral WAKO GUMBO is a time capsule for a lost generation in transit dealing with the strange landscape of emptiness in modern times.
