Atlas by Elias
The titan from Greek mythology was condemned to support the heavens for all eternity, and so too is the vertebra that sits atop the spinal column: condemned to support the skull and brain for our own, personal eternity. The brain is the most complex object humanity has encountered in the entire universe; its innermost workings as yet unknown. And so, when it turns against us, the brain can be a formidable adversary.
"The events of the last few years have compounded the struggle for those of us who battle anxiety and depression. This music explores those topics, and serves as a catharsis for grappling with the machinations of a rewired brain.”
On this instrumental release, our protagonist, Carl Elias Belle, is joined by an array of guests, including internationally acclaimed artists Dewa Budjana and Derek Sherinian.
