Drones by Big Summer

El nuevo single de Big Summer es el tipo de canción de ritmo rápido que podríamos etiquetar como 'nos-queda-un-minuto-hasta-que-el-mundo-se-acabe'. El suelo tiembla y truenos y relámpagos caen del cielo: es fácil quedarse parado y no hacer nada cuando sabes que tus días están contados. La canción se centra en la lucha interior que a veces sentimos cuando todo parece condenado al fracaso y explora la necesidad de decidir si quedarse quietos o empezar a correr. Y a pesar de haber sido escrito hace un par de años, definitivamente resuena con lo que ocurre en estos tiempos.

Big Summer’s new single is a fast-paced, one-minute-til-the-end-of-the-world type of tune. The ground is shaking and thunder and lightning is falling from the sky: it’s easy to stay behind and do nothing when you know your days are numbered. The song focuses on the inner struggle we sometimes feel when everything seems doomed and explores the need to decide whether to stay put or start running. And despite being written a couple of years ago, it definitely resonates with current events.
