Imago by Ekorce

Following his mesmerizing inclusion on Shanti Planti’s annual ‘Rhythm Code’ compilation, Ekorce returns to the label with his ethereal 4-track EP, ‘Imago.’ Named for the final stage of insect metamorphosis, ‘Imago’ explores the sensory realms of deep, psychedelic downtempo and rhythmic psybass through the lens of organically-infused sound design. A soothing matrix of oscillating basslines and crisp, opulent instrumentation, Ekorce’s iconic sound blends world music styling and psybass energy with cerebral and dreamy atmospheres to evoke a sense of mystery that has played a central role in this European producer’s project since landing on the scene in 2014.

Ekorce is the downtempo project of the french producer Kyrian Nicolay-Kritter, oscillating betwen Psybass, Psydub and Psychill. Combining deep emotional bass and powerful rythms with world sounds and organic textures, Ekorce creates his unique downtempo music infused in a psychedelic universe. He commenced piano at the age of 6 and drums at the age of 11 and launched the project Ekorce in 2015.
