Born in Israel and spending his childhood in Italy, pianist Ehud Asherie has since earned his place among the top pianist of the New York City jazz scene. Ashire actively studies and performs the music of the stride piano masters of the early 20th century, and his playing is notably inspired by pianists such as James P. Johnson, Erroll Garner, and Thelonius Monk.
