Aurora with her rosy hand caress
Our knight, who lives to fight another day,
Yet not on battlefield the steele will sing,
But in the square, spectaculum vitae!
A gladiator fights to conjure thrill,
A soldier valiant to right what’s wrong.
And though Lars Dufwa deems the task unfit,
The Duke of Älmhult’s word’s a heavy lot.
And so the peasants watch with eager eye,
The crashing armour, blood and battle cry.
