RECIPES by duets

RECIPES was remotely-composed and produced by Andy Ingamells (Cork, Ireland) and Ryan Ross Smith (Fremont Center, NY). Inspired in part by John Cage and David Tudor's Indeterminacy album, RECIPES pits spoken word (in this case, a surreal if not outrageous recipe) against a backdrop of modular synthesis. "For the next few minutes" takes the form of a guided imagery meditation, inviting the listener to "make a meal in your mind", while "Go to the garage to get a few almonds" conveys the anxiety and panic of completing a recipe far faster than might be considered safe.
