Between 2023 and 2025, Dubby Cruiser released 8 digital singles on Whimsical Music under the title "Convertible Dubs". Why Convertible Dubs? Finnish music critic L. Huger explains:

"Dubby Cruiser takes us on a ride to the sunset on his convertible somewhere in the Balearic Islands. Imagine a breeze of sea air in your hair while you are driving along the coast with your crew of misfits, including a wizard, half-elf and a gnome, all dressed up in dayglo medieval gear. You are on an unknown quest, and it feels good."

Who are the 8 names featured in the song titles? No one knows. Maybe hitchhikers accompanying Dubby Cruiser on his ride for a little while?

For "Season 1" (=this album), the 8 singles received new mixes and mastering and were compiled into a digital longplay album in the form of a free Bandcamp download to celebrate Dub Flash's 27th anniversary.
