Lyrics
In ancient verse, the elders taught me well
These rival hymns that I must quell
For to succumb is an unwanted fate
By any that participate
Groundlings hear us in the canopy
Endless battles kill off the weak
They think we sing just to pass the time
They know not of the victors prize
Sing for Ostara with all of my might
Sing for the maiden, it’s my deadly plight
Fifteen days of song
Now that winters gone
Sing til I feel it
Spring goddess beams down from the heavens bright
Triple goddess watches us at night
Our patrons choose the one who will preside
As the symbol of Eastertide
To what length will I go to make them see
That I’m strong and I’m the one that they seek
I don’t care that life dwells below me
It’s so close, I better sing for…
…Ostara with all of my might
Sing for the maiden, it’s my deadly plight
Fifteen days of song
Now that winters gone
Sing til I feel it
The chosen drops below our tree top lair
Beak and feather, now the great hare
A transformation, this entwined beast
Brings rainbow treasure to find and feast
To what length will I go to make them see
That I’m strong and I’m the one that they seek
I don’t care that life dwells below me
It’s so close, I better sing for…
…Ostara with all of my might
Sing for the maiden, it’s my deadly plight
Fifteen days of song
Now that winters gone
Sing til my last breath…
I die for Ostara, I don’t have the might
I die for the maiden, I’ve lost the fight
Fifteen days of song
Have been and gone
Sing til I feel it slip away
Ostara
The maiden
Oh, mother
