Magical by Donwill

There is no rapping on this one but if I did write a verse it would be about how we all possess a bit of magic. Sometimes it’s esoteric like hearing an interesting moment in another song and turning it into an original composition. Other times it’s something as simple as seeing some freshly gelled baby hairs framing a woman’s face. If you look closely enough there is magic in everything and especially right now, in this moment we gotta believe in our magic because the minute you stop believing in it is when it disappears.

This song is a remix of an original composition from Jazz pianist Tony Tixier. Tony is a Jazz pianist but we bonded over our love of sample based production and beat machines. We would send each other beats that we were tinkering with and one day he told me he released a new album with his jazz trio. I asked him if I could flip one of the tracks and he said yes. That initial collaboration ended up being this song.
