Shrimp Tales by Dominick Leslie and Ric Robertson
Ric and I have been toying with the idea (and still are) of making a duo mandolin album that displays our unique (we think) way of playing together which was largely developed as roommates at the Berklee College of Music and has continued to develop for hours and days and nights since we first met at the Mandolin Symposium in Santa Cruz CA in 2004. This project is the result of a few days of experimentation in Ric's newly furnished New Orleans "home studio" in mid-February 2019. Hopefully the first of many more spontaneous releases, I would wish that you have as much fun listening as we did making, but that my friend would be impossible. - Dominick Leslie, May 14th 2020
