Songs & Inventions by Dennis Preston

I'm putting this album out myself rather than on a label. I didn't want to wait another year or more for it to be released. I think it's just right for the Summer months. Some of the songs have a sunny afternoon sound to them and some, a hot, late night, moody and steamy feeling... plus a few have that 60s/70s type of vibe... something like you would hear on a FM station around midnight or later. The album was recorded Summer 2009 to Spring 2011. Originally the songs from the 2009 sessions were going to be a part of my album, A Different Road (which SOME of those songs will be up here by the end of August) but they had a different feel than what that direction was going in. This is a double album (which happens to have some pretty cool headphones material on it), so if you download the whole album, tracks 1 through 12 (SONGS) go on CD1 and 13 through 21 (INVENTIONS) go on CD2. There's a chance, depending on your system (or whatever) that when you listen to these songs on, there might be clicks or distortion... that's only on here. The versions you download will be of good quality from what Band Camp says. Also... if you buy the whole album you get inserts for a CD case, some doodles (drawings) I did on envelopes during mixing sessions and some surprises.
