Deep Culture is incredibly excited to welcome to the label Poet/ Vocalist OVEOUS and Latin Grammy Nominated Cuban flutist Orlando 'Maraca' Valle.
OVEOUS embodies brilliant lyricism and has earned standing ovations on HBO Def Jam, The Arsenio Hall Show, and has been a winner multiple times on 'Showtime at the Apollo'. As a poet he's earned countless national titles. Orlando Maraca Valle joined Cuba's famous Irakere (founded by Chucho Valdés) where he served as flutist, keyboardist, and arranger. His Grammy-nominated 2003 solo release Tremenda Rumba reached Top 15 on Billboard's Tropical album chart in the U.S. meanwhile his album Descarga Total! is one of Cuba's best-selling albums ever. Maraca participated as guest artist in the winning album of the Latin Grammy Award 2018 of the 'Septeto Santiaguero y El Canario'. He was also the winner, along with his pianist cousin Ramon Valle, of the 2018 Cubadisco Award.
