at least someday I’ll catch my death
walking the snow in shorts
wish I remembered childhood.

Sweating every day to survive said mind
wish I could evoke at will.

I’ll gladly sit the rest of time out
go over home movies in my head forever
at least until I catch my death at last.

Life was mythical, life is dull
no one exists that shines no more.
