You know, I think somebody’s following me
They’re on the internet when I am asleep
I’m not just paranoid, what else can it be
Besides them stealing my identity?

My family tells me to just let it go
Maybe imagination, you never know
Too many things about it trouble me though
I watch a lot of those conspiracy shows

Can I be the man
That I think I am
Or must I simply
Be a program?

Change the encryptions on it every day
I can’t remember them, so how can they?
My whole identity is on display
With all the songs I write and thoughts I convey

In my computer, and on the phone
Tiny cameras on silent drones
Can never get the spies to leave me alone
There is no way for one to be unknown

Can I be the man
That I think I am
Or must I simply
Be a program?
