and i don’t know which one to blame,

i’ve been drifting,
drifting through the haze,

sometimes it feels like this is not my life,
but someone else’s life.
a phantom pantomime
of my true life.
and i don’t know how to get back.

sometimes i try to speak
but all my thoughts fold on themselves
and all my words come out like paper wings
that flutter and disintegrate like ash.
i never recovered from the crash.
