This track, and perhaps this whole album, expresses a sense of self actualization, hope and empowerment following a time of great depression in my life.
When my depressive feelings returned, there was a resurgence of power derived from reaching out to close friends for help, and engaging in a ritualized form of self affirmation. This is the type of album I was wanting to do all along, but never had the presence of mind to complete.
In case you're wondering, the female scream sound is from "Alien," where Diane Ripley blows the air lock, pulling her Alien nemesis into deep space. I like to think it's the sound of someone who must take desperate action to overcome an obstacle. Trust me, it's worth it.
