Sunset Overdrive is a collection of songs meant to invoke summertime nostalgia and bliss. A lot of my best memories were formed while cruising around blasting music with friends — a feeling of excitement and carelessness I wanted to capture. This all started as a young guitarist who had an obsession with hearing THAT part of a song – the part that only lasted a few seconds, but was such a well written and emotionally compelling moment that you had to keep going back – and trying my best to capture that energy in my own music.
