Lyrics
There’s a ward that I’ve been on, dependant crazies want their phones
Nurses watch, we hide our smokes, that we smuggled in, they give us hope
Lights are out, we bunker down and wait for valium to mute the sounds
It is lonely, can’t look at pictures, that remind us, of happy times we once lived
Its now or never, got to fix up this mind
If I let go, let you go, baby don’t you cry
Psych takes a look, consults her book, thought she could see things through our eyes
Prescribes her magic, but its all patchwork, and all rehearsed from the last psych
Can’t cough it up, under our tongue, an induced sanity for a night
Is there an angel, who’ll sit down with us, prescribe a remedy, or touch our minds?
Drugs are magic, and friends are patchy doin time
I feel so close to all the loonies doing time
Mozartian lives, can play just about anything, perfectly right
There is no time, restraining the genius, there is no night to hide behind
Most are muted, silenced by the drugs they give
Black and white, no longer can they bare to live
Rubber faces they never really understand,
Tonight this will end
Revolving door, we come and go, some are cut up, some are stoned
Like eyeless Joe, he read some scriptures, desired women, and now he moans
The piano is out of tune, we band together upon a note
A little pleasure and then we scatter, to our criminal, our cell like homes
Drugs are tragic and friends are patchy doin time
I feel so close to all the loonies doin time
Tide comes in, and then goes out, was it in first or was it out
Ask no questions, don’t offer answers, or you could blow some poor soul apart
Now I am out, out of the chamber, I feel uneasy, feeling the danger
Like my friend Luke, he’s not coping, want to help him drown those crazy pigs in the ocean
Make a coffee, smoke a pipe, drown in the ocean,
Shut out ideas, they cause to much fear for the innocent
