Paradeiro by Daniele Comoglio
Paradeiro in Portuguese means destiny/destination. The seed of this album was planted on my first trip to Brazil in 2018, a trip that changed my life.
Initially conceived as an album with a more jazzy flavor, with shorter melodies and more space for improvisation, along the way I spontaneously felt the need to write more structured songs, with more complex forms, as if I wanted to tell short or more complex stories.
The two recording sessions, one in New York and the other in Prato, combined these needs of mine: the Prato session more “improvised”, almost a jam session, and the New York session with more complex writing.
