"Perihelion Chronicle" is CD1 of the double disc "Perihelion Chronicle / Journey to the Aphelion" album - each album can be downloaded separately, or get both albums as a package.
Back in the peak vinyl LP days this would constitute a triple LP. Recorded over an eight month period, this double CD travelogue includes over 124 minutes of new electro-acoustic hybrids: psychedelic electro-jazz, ambient folk tunes, organic synthesis and noisy progressive rock with acid jazz overtones. Dave Thatcher contributed congas and bongos and Eldon Hardenbrook played fretless bass on one track. Lots of flutes (often processed via various electronics), synthesizers (both analogue and digital), fourth-world percussion rhythms, electric dulcimer and even a purring cat!

Recorded between November 2021 and June 2022 at Digitalis and on location at Fort Columbia in Washington, Fort Stevens in Oregon and Astoria Column in Astoria, Oregon. Engineered and mixed by Daniel Crommie except Eldon Hardenbrook's bass which was recorded by Eldon.
