Tigernite's debut album offers up eight rollicking tracks of revved up punchy power pop. From the powerful guitar fueled Million Years, to the angsty anthem No Girls Allowed, to the shimmering fever dream of Drag, Tigernite takes listeners for a ride through colorful gritty landscapes on a rock infused road trip.
With glam sensibilities, a firm foundation in classic guitar rock and expressive, commanding vocals, the band offers glimpses of varied influences ranging from straightforward punk rock hooks to dramatic flourishes of rock opera.
The album's crowning achievement, Witch and its accompanying video have been kicking and screaming on radio waves and podcasts across the country. Biting guitar leads, driving rhythm and acidic growling vocals cut straight to the energetic quick of the group and drop listeners into the middle of the manic and magical Tigernite universe.
Featuring the imaginative and otherworldly artwork of Brian Ellis (Lego, Hasbro), the album cover and booklet provide a dense and saturated map through the strange terrain of each track. Drawing directly from the lyrical content of the record comic book heroes, occult imagery, natural phenomena and cult film coalesce to create a cinematic visual accompaniment.
The album was produced and recorded by Alex Smolinski (Emperors of Wyoming, Lola Ray, The Churchills, NYC Smoke) at Wonder Wonder Sound, with additional tracking by Shane Hochstetler of Howl Street Recordings and Paul Meyer. Tigernite was mastered by Carl Saff of Saff Mastering (Guided by Voices, Off!, Erase Errata, California X, Joan of Arc).
