Gallimatias by Djinnestan
The first new album by Djinnestan in well over a decade, this is (after a fashion) a sequel to 2004's Selling The Wind, being a large assortment of short pieces of sound art, some ambient and others a bit noisier. Much like the earlier work of Djinnestan, the focus here is on the textures of sounds rather than on their meaning or evocative properties.
The title is a hybrid word combining Galimatias (gibberish) and Gallimaufry (a hodge-podge).
