Shawn Phase is the worlds scariest drummer, however, on this EP, he took a foray into his past (and future) and expertly manned the guitar, enveloping your ears in aarid tones, dark textures, and soothing, breathing soundscapes.

Shawn Phase, known for his frenetic, intense, mathy & unending work of passion at Temp Sound Solutions, is also a world reknown multi-instrumentalist. This is his first offering for CSC, and also the first entry of the CSC Digital Series, which serves to profile and shine a light on some very special, passionate artists.

Volume I finds Baltimore's very own Shawn Phase, the live drummer. producer. and founder of tss, now cast once again in a guitarist role, as he gladly produced 3 epic droning tracks of ethereal, synthy, guitar drone ambience. A masterstroke of poise and restraint, all the while being over the top indulgent as are most great drone tunes.

Drone music is ritualistic first and foremost, and this 3 song collection from Shawn surely highlights this point better than most.
