Each track repeats a single 5-note chord, played by 5 sampled instruments belonging to the track title’s category. Each note is randomly assigned to an instrument each cycle.

While one chord sounds, the next is silently recorded. These two recordings replay at half-speed, and cyclically fade in and out of each other.

These are snippets of an automated permutation machine.
