World's End by cosmologists

In January 2025, I had the privilege of being the resident at dblspce, an incubator space located in Peninsula Shopping Centre founded by Kimberly Shen and Sabrina Koh.

I spent the month-long residency, first making furniture and lights for the space, then making some drawings for the walls, and eventually inviting artist musician friends to improvise and record music together. The idea was to collectively write some sort of album about the end of the world, maybe the last album on earth. I was nervous, anxious and skeptical about the project the whole month but grateful to new and old friends who came and contributed their sounds. On the last day of the residency, we had a lineup of live experimental music the whole day, filling the space with people all bathed under depressing yellow light. It was beautiful and I think what the project was about.
