Cosmic Call by CC

Inspired by synthesizer music & sci-fi soundtracks of the 60s and 70s, Cosmic Call survives to document a space adventure from an alternate Earth timeline.
Created in various locations both indoors and out, all tracks on Cosmic Call were recorded live to an Olympus SR-11 stereo microcassette recorder. As an exercise in improvisation around the Ciat Lonbarde Tetrax and a supporting cast of esoteric synthesizers, drum machines and effects, Cosmic Call takes the listener on an intergalactic journey of uncertainty, peril, discovery, excitement and extreme fatigue. With a strong focus on the lo-fi aesthetic afforded by the uncommon recording device and medium, CC forges a unique sonic landscape that feels familiar and nostalgic, while the modern day tabletop modular instrumentation invites wonder and intrigue via unconventional musical expression.
